How would I pattern an existing body across the inner surface of a half-sphere?

Hello Marcel,

I am not sure if this will help you but could be a way hot to do it. Patern feature allows you to create copy around an Axis and along a path only.

1. Pattern - Axis

2. Pattern - Path - I projected a sketch (spline spiral) to Surface (inner half sphare surface)

Dear Pavel, thanks for the quick reply. An interesting idea - I will try it out. One question though: How to make sure the objects are not only positioned along the projected path, but also perpendicular to the sphere's surface?

Hello Marcel,

there are two option for orientation , but I think that no one of them will help you in your case (to be perpendicular to sphere surface) because the Pattern is driven by a path and not of the surface.

Hi Pavel,

Thanks. So in that case I guess the fastest option would be to create multiple circular patterns (at various sphere circumpherences) around the same axis where the initial object is positioned on a plane perpendicular to the sphere. Also doable, but I had hoped there would be an easier solution.
