Pattern into single body

Hi,

I am working on a project where i am building spacers for batteries. Now i have a single block that fits one battery, i pattern that into the amount of cells i want. I want to automatically turn the pattern into a single body so that i only have to change my parameter of the amount of batteries.

So for example i have 4 batteries on the x-axis and 5 batteries on the y-axis. I pattern this, but then i have to manually select all the new bodies and combine them. Only then i can do an operation on them, for example build a case around it based on the size. If i then change the amount of batteries to 10 by 6 for example, i first have to go back in time and select them as well to combine into a single body. I was hoping to fully automate this so i only have to change the parameters and the whole design changes with it.

Hi,

If I understand you, it won't work because individual bodies are selected for the combination.
When the number of bodies is changed, the combination doesn't know which of them belongs to it.

This can only be done by hand.

Yep. unfortunately that does not work. Depending on the design there are sometimes workarounds possible, e.g. patterning features can alleviate this to a degree, but in reality the pattern tool is really in dire need of an update and has been for a long time.
