Pattern Component in Modeling yields improper spacing

I have a drawing in which I have brought in a component to use as a cut object. I have placed one of these components in place and used the component pattern to make additional components in two directions from the original component. When I put in all parameters and tell it the spacing distance the preview looks fine on the screen. The minute I press accept the spacing changes to much wider than what I have set in the dialogue. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @kbowen3995

Thanks for posting! It looks like you are experiencing an issue in which the Pattern preview is not accurately representing a component patterns spacing.

I have been unable to recreate this behavior in a new file - the previewed spacing has accurately represented the finalized pattern. Would you mind sharing the Fusion design in which you are experiencing this issue with me, either on this forum thread or as a public link in a private message? It may also help to capture the workflow you are using in a screencast.

I look forward to investigating this issue further! Please let me know if you have any questions - I'm happy to help!

How should I post this screencast of this problem?

To public or private and if private to whom?

Hi @kbowen3995

I would post the screencast on this forum thread - please use the "Insert Screencast" field (underneath the body text entry field) to insert a public screencast to your post. Thanks!

I initially set this screencast up as private. I cannot figure out how to
make it public again. Sorry, I've never used this screencast before

Hi @kbowen3995

You can change the public/ private/ unlisted status of a screencast by going to the Autodesk Knowledge Network, signing in the the upper right hand corner (using your Forum account credentials), and then selecting "My Contributions." You can then select Manage > Options to change the screencast to a public screencast.

Also, feel free to attach the part to this forum thread and I am happy to have a look to see if I can recreate the issue!  1.png

Well I know your going to think I'm an idiot but I cant figure out how to
change this screencast from private to public. If I go into My
Contributions it shows nothing. Only in private screencasts. Ive tried
everything there is with no luck. Is there another way for me to repost
without recreating?

Hi @kbowen3995

You are not an idiot - it is not the easiest interface to navigate. I have shown how to make the private screencast public in the screencast below - this process should work for you. Please let me know if you have any questions, I'm happy to help!
