Pattern along a path

I'm trying to pattern "teeth" along a curved path. I've sketched them as triangles with constraints above and below the line surface, but when they reach the (.75 inch) radius the get larger and also separate to outside the body. I do not have this problem when I pattern them on a flat surface. Any ideas? And thanks in advance. I'm pretty new at this.

Thanks for responding. I never saved the file as I kept trying different
ways. I'll duplicate it tomorrow and get it out to you.

These are very rough sketches of the upper jaw of a farrier’s clincher. In an ideal world, the “teeth” would follow the curved path maintaining the same orientation to the jaw’s surface to a distance at least half way between the front lip and the hinge point. In sample one I imbedded a triangle and constrained it to the degree Fusion let me. In the second I simply snapped the triangle to the curved line (I wasn’t fussy about teeth dimensions for purposes of these samples. At the end of the day I want the straight, or gripping surface of the teeth to extend out .030”). Any help is greatly appreciated.

In the Pattern dialogue, under the Orientation setting, select "Path Direction". That should do it.

Thanks for this. In my "create" drop down it gives me pattern/pattern along
a path. This opens a window with some choices, but nothing called
orientation. It does allow/cause me to select a path, then gives me an arrow
to select the direction on the path that I want the pattern to go to. From
this I can create the pattern and it follows the desired path. However, the
orientation of the triangles that establish the "teeth" does not change to
accommodate the curvature of the path (.75" radius).

Hi Bob,

After selecting the Create--> "Pattern along Path" a window should come up allowing you to select the object to pattern and then the path to follow. After selecting the path the window expands giving you options Suppress, Distance, Start Point, Distance Type, etc. and second from the bottom is the Orientation option.

I tried uploading a screen-cast but something is not working (server side I think), hence my attempt at verbal explanation.

Hope this sorts the problem.

PS: I found it useful to edit the sketch by breaking the curve at the curve/triangle intersection. Then when you select the path during the pattern operation, only the desired piece of the curve is selected. 

Hope this sorts the problem.

You're a genius. Thank you so very much. I've only been using Fusion for a
month, and though I have some experience (from 20 years ago) with CAM
software, not so much with CAD. But I have to say, the Fusion community is
THE most responsive I've ever been involved in.
