Patching extrusion with a rounded form

Hey Everyone, Fusion 360 noob here. I seem to have ran into a roadblock in my design here. What I'm trying to do is patch up the extruded piece of the body with the area between the two circles. The hidden lines are empty space created by a loft cut. The loft extends to the center circle. Then, to smooth out the cut, I extruded the center circle the rest of the way. I want the area between the two circles to join the body in a smooth transition. I tried selecting the area and extruding it to the right, but it leaves a gap between the body and the tube, once it gets to the base. Any tips?

Perhaps something like the workflow in the attached design might work better? I took advantage of using the same loft to generate the cut and to thicken into the "tube."

Hopefully this isn't too far off.

Hi @sdavila6,

If I understand you correctly, you're basically trying to keep the empty space created by the loft within the body, but redo where the loft meets the exterior of the body so the exterior has no holes in the "cone" section, right? The first thing off the top of my head would be to make another body that is just the "cone" part, then use Modify > Shell to create a thin wall for the exterior, then move it into the correct place and Modify > Combine it with your main body. Would that be in line with what your ultimate goal is for this part?
