Patch on converted mesh

Hi,

 

I am after some advice on how to achieve something.

canopy 1.png

this is the geometry in question, That I  have imported as .obj and converted to solid.

but the bottom is like this.canopy2.png

I have tried to patch the bottom but this is failing to work is there a workaround?

Please attach your model.  Open it is Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save to your hard drive.  Attach the file to a reply post.

I do not think you will have much luck with your model using Fusion 360.  Maybe you will have better success using Meshmixer or some other surface application.

Accepted solution

The Fusion mesh environment has some of the same capabilities as Meshmixer.  In this case, you may be able to use Mesh Repair to close the hole, as shown in the video below.  So, close the mesh in the Mesh environment before conversion:
