Parameters not Updating when changed

I am creating a design for a batton that holds hooks and I have used various parameters that are all connected to each other for spacing equally along a batton. so that when the batton length, number of hooks, is changed it automatically spaces itself equally.

These are the parameters I'm using;

Only the bottom parameters starting with hooknumber are relevant to this.

the problem I'm having is whenever i change the 'hooknumber' or 'battonwidth' the 'hookpatternstart' doesnt automatically update even though it is dependant on the other 2 parameters. The only way to get it to update is to go back into the drawing and select the dimension that has 'hookpatternstart' and reenter it.

is there any way or alternative method to get this working?

Hi,

There may be a problem with the driven length.

The reason it is a Driven dimension is because the 2 ends of the batton are constrained to be colinear to 2 knotches that are set on a  panel that'll attach to the batton.  The reason for this is so that no matter what size i make the panel in front the batton will adjust to the size.

and in the instance that i'm trying, i'm not changing the battonlength only the hooknumber. I'll attach a video below of the problem. i'm changing the hooknumber from 5 to 8, which it will add them in but the start point of the pattern does not change unless i then go into the original sketch and reennter the exact same parameter.

does it update when you do a compute all (ctrl-b)?  driven dims had a bug like this when they first came out, I thought it was sorted but maybe not.

That did actually work! it took a while to load because I've got quite a lot of patterns and different parameters but at least that's one solution.

I'm guessing that the bug your talking about isn't quite fixed yet then sadly.

Thanks for the help!
