Over-constrain mesasge on partial defined sketch

Hello!

I have sketch consisting of construction lines, which i can modify with parameters, from which i offset my sketch lines to extrude the body. I experiance the same problem with an overconstrained error message despite some lines are obviously not fully constrained as i can move them.

Is this still a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Kind regards!

Attached are the component with the sketch and a screencast.

@n.ebner,

Definitely a bug; I have seen it too.  I am not able to easily replicate it, though.

My workaround is to delete constraints and dimensions until I am able to get it to work.  Sometimes I have to start all over.  It seems that the order in which constraints and dimensions are applied has an effect.

I notice you have several offsets in your sketch. One thing to be aware of is you can not dimension an offset curve and have it drive the original. It's a bit difficult to see how you've built that line in the sketch but it might an offset that's the problem.

Hi Mark, thanks for your reply!
I'm aware of the fact that I cannot dimension the offset generated line to drive the original. The error pops up when I try to dimension the original construction line. But I can move it around by dragging it with the mouse. In the screen cast I'm dragging the construction line and the offset follows accordingly.

Hey Josh!

I experienced the same that, when deleting certain constraints or dimensions I can get some dimensions, that made problems before to work. But at some point you have to place a dimension to finish the sketch, and then it is really frustrating when you get this over constraint message...

Oddly enough, if you delete the offset curves and lines and recreate it everything seems to work as expected. Can you confirm that as well?

Hi all,

I'm sorry about the issue! I tested this and I believe it is a bug. I have logged it as a defect (FUS-30203) and the development team will review and plan for a fix.

Thank you for reporting the issue!

@Anonymous

Hey!

Thanks for your reply...

Back from weekend, I've now reproduced the behaviour you described. I deleted all offset-lines and lo and behold, I could dimension the sketch without getting the over-constraint error.

Unfortunately my F360 was updated today, so I have to check the change notes if any bug has already been eliminated in the current version.
