Hi guys. I have i problem with loft. I have a 3d centerline (created with lines not spline) with 2 circular profiles with different diameters on ends of the centerline, but i get a error:IMG_2505.JPGIMG_2506.JPGIMG_2507.JPG

this is what im trying to do, the problem is that this shape has to be made out of cilinders it cant be one smooth shape and the center has a bit bigger diameter then the ends 😕IMG_2508.JPG

Both macOS and Windows have a builtin utility to create screenshots. On macOS os the key combination Shift-Command + 4. On Windows you can use the snipping tool.

Please share your design by exporting it as a .f3d and attaching it to your next post.

The error tells you what is wrong.

The curve in Sketch1 is not curvature continuous.

Do you really really want that as a series of straight line segments

or

do you really want a smooth curve?

What is the purpose of Sketch2?

Why did you create Extrude surface 1 and then delete it?

What is the purpose of Sketch4?

Can you create Sketc5 via the intersection of 2 tangent continuous 2D sketches?

The circle in Sketch6 is not dimensioned.

If dimensioned as-is, that dimension cannot be inspected as-is and is therefore not manufacturable (except as one-off art).

I suspect that if I attempted a solution that I would start out with 2 tangent continuous 2D sketches.

Can you export export a quad mesh from Wing design software?

If so you can import that into Fusion then convert it to a T-Spline set the creased edges and your done.

I want it as a series of traight line segments.

I created sketch 2 by mistake.

I did it because i can.

sketch 4 is suppose to be a ending diameter of the shape i want to create, and sketch 6 is the begging diameter of this shape.

And i dont understand the last part of your reply because my english is not good enaugh, so could you make a video or show me how to do it, please?

I cant export anything from the wingdesign...

Oops, I should have waited for your response before I did the attached work.

Edit:  Well, I get not smooth error for my 3D sketch as well.  Not sure why as I use this technique in other software.

If you want as straight line segments I think you will have to do each panel individually.

Yeah the problem it that the diameters (they have to be) on ends are different so its pretty hard to do it separatly that its smoothly goes from one diameter to the other one
