Origin and view have become misaligned

Hello,

i dont know how, since i did nothing funky to get that, suddently the origin is misaligned with view, that mean when i clic on left in the view on top right my model is not straight but rotated.

This is a very big problem and i cannot figure how to fix that.

Of course i checked with perspective / orthographic mode and it changes nothing, also i can confirm my model is perfectly aligned with the origin (at least) so its only a matter of the main view that became offset with the origin, especially on left / right.

Here is a screenshot:

If anyone has an idea on how to fix this problem, it will be very welcome.

Alright here it is, there are some warnings due to multiple changes made afterwards, however these warning were present well before the problem occured.

In my experience - it is best to address issues as they occur rather than blithely continuing on building on a shaky foundation.

I noticed that your Sketch1 (and most other sketches) are not fully defined.

I recommend that you start over from scratch following robust modeling techniques and stop any time a sketch does not show as fully defined (pushpin) or a yellow issue highlight occurs in your timeline.

I did not attempt to determine your original problem statement issue as it would be irrelevant to me (my opinion) based on the unresolved (ignored?) issues indicated in the timeline.

Maybe someone else will dig deeper...

What happens if you Look At (normal to) one of the Origin planes and then Right Click on the View Cube and reset to appropriate view?

All you've done is set your front or top view while the view was rotated. If you come across this problem again just reset the front view.

OK, thank you for the hint, i will check that.

I know where these warning came from, mainly sketches that were related to object that changed or were deleted later, this model was used for a discussion on the design today, there was no point redrawing everything since the whole design will change totally in the next days, that is why the warning have not been adressed.

Anyway as told these warnings have nothing to do with the problem which occured much later.

In fact top and bottom have been reversed on purpose, because the reference drawing sketches were based on has been reversed. But when i reversed the top and bottom there was no problem with alignement, it only came later.

I wil try the first suggestion which seem to be the key.

Alright, i checked and while no solution have been found at this time at least i now where the problem come from, in fact when we select "set current view as top/front" it will take the current view as is and if it is not perfectly aligned the offest between origin and view will appear.

So basically once you have lost the alignement it will never help to recover it. I tried to clic in origin plane before using this menu but it doesnt change anything, it only take into account the current view, as is. I presume there must be a way to set the current view straight by clicking on the origina plane but i havent found it yet.

If you want to just reverse the Top and Bottom view first reset the front view as in my first post then click on the view cube so the Bottom view is aligned and then use set current view to top.

OK, after few more trials i managed to get this fixed, i had to "reset home" and "reset front" after what the view became straight again one reset to left or right. After that i clicked on the views and reassigned top and front correctly and without misalignement this time.
