Organizing Assemblies & Components within Browser List

As my design develops, how do I simple move assemblies or components up and down within the browser list??

Should be simple but can't figure this one out!

Hi

I have just reread you post and noticed you are from Malaysia so I'm guessing English might not be your first language so I apologise for my quick retort and abrasiveness. To me, if you made an off-the-cuff comment like you did I would take it as being quite rude especially as I didn't feel it contributed to the discussion - just a throw away comment! However TrippyLighting has taken a completely different view to me. Perhaps its a cultural thing UK, US and Malasia

If you read TrippyLighting's post it contributed to and built on what you said which was my point

M

You probably saw my rant posts but when people ask questions, I do answer them properly and I tend to clarify first what they’re asking cause what’s the point of writing a whole long reply about reordering an assembly in timeline when turns out he’s using direct modelling.

So I'm puzzled as to why dragging and dropping the components doesn't move them around.  I understand there are things that are tied to the time-line but why would the "name" of the component be tied to the exact order within the browser list.  It is just a list which shows you the names of the components, and if the components are within the component group, it shouldn't matter where the component is in the order.

Probably something along the lines of: We have a table (or several) in the relational database that keep track of the items in the Browser. Items are generated in the table(s) as necessary, but we never added any kind of field called Display_Order or anything like that that would allow the display of the items to be other than they way they are listed in the table(s).*

* Overly simplistic explanation
