opening downloaded Fusion file - error message

Downloaded shared design, uploaded it into the project, and trying to open it, but keep getting the following:

chassis.jpg

Can't see any update happening...

Don't have problems with openning older saved locally designs, uploaded into the same folder.

Totally puzzled - hopefully someone has an idea what I am doing wrong?

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you tried to restart Fusion and it keeps happening, then please attach the file and I'll test it.

Cheers / Ben

Thanks Ben,

re-starting doesn't solve the problem.

It seems that the issue is related to files from one source (others still work fine).

Yep, that can happen as well, a corrupt file 😕

Hi, The files in question are from me ( Paul Sutton) and none of them are working for Chris .

I have attached one for you to check as they have been opened on 4 other installations now without error.

thanks in advance for any help.

@Anonymous ,

I have managed to open the file with no problem. Try the following

1. Remove/Delete the file from your Fusion.

2. Try to open the file by double left mouse click.

3. Try to upload the file again and reopen it from inside Fusion.

4. Delete the file from inside Fusion and try to upload it into Fusion from MyHub account (https://myhub.autodesk360.com/)

Cheers / Ben.

I have tried opening the file on my laptop instead of the main PC and it opens fine....

So it is not a corrupted file issue, but a problem with Fusion 360 on my PC.

What utterly puzzles me, why everything else open but not these files....

any suggestions? please

The best and the quickest way to solve this issue is to reinstall Fusion 🙂
Unfortunately, I can't answer why it happened!

Yes, re-installing Fusion has solved the problem.

Sorry for the confusion - should have thought about it myself.

ps now that I had a look at it - it is clear that there must have been problem with an update fo Fusion, because I was running an old version on my PC. Re-installing has sorted the update and now I am running latest version.

When I checked my laptop (which had no problem openning the files or error messages) it was running latest version.

So mystery solved...
