Offset doesn't recognize squares

Hello, 

I am trying to offset squares I draw to make windows but it doesn't seem to work.

Any idea on the process I should follow ?

Picture on left represents the squares selected, pictures on right shows that offset only recognize one line at a time (chain selection isn't checked)

Hi,

first you need lines representing one side of the square .

Then use hold shift & select to select the lines for the offset.

He thinks he should be able to offset multiple closed loops in one shot. AND he thinks it should work even if those closed loops SHARE elements.

To the OP... How do you expect Fusion to offset the common lines in two directions at once, while knowing that the other lines only need to be offset in one direction? You're asking for a lot more complexity that this simple tool is capable of.

Ok thank you, for the record I am used to sketchup which automatically considers 2 intersecting lines as 4 different lines making the offset way easier.

It comes handy when you have to make tons of offset, for exemple when making a stone wall.
