Offset dimension Issue

I'll have to check if this is intended, but I can explain what's going on.

 

The offset loop has an offset constraint between it and the original loop. Delete that and it will release the relationship between the loops.

What you expect makes sense, obviously some dimension must control the offset shape, why not the radius of the offset arc. Great question to ask the sketch development team. Thanks!

I meant to say: Delete that and it will release "size" from driving the relationship between the loops and leave behind the geometric constraints that keep the loops aligned and concentric.

You're misinterpreting how offsets are defined. When you need to define the offset distance, you need to make it relative to constrained  (in black). You can't just drag it off to open space, it has no reference for how far to go

@dewaine50  No, I am not misinterpreting how offsets are defined.

I understand it fully.

My point is that there is no sense for this behavior, especially considering that the rest of parametric up level apps doesn't do that.
