Please note, that due to the nature of this issue, working Offline is not advised.  If you are running into this problem, your best option is to hold off on additional work and/or not close Fusion 360 until the service has been restored, at which point you should be able to refresh your side panel and then save.

I see a couple other platforms are degraded or down as well.

The Autodesk Desktop App seems to be also, but I don't know of it being listed anywhere. I only discovered it after going to get Inv 2017.3

Hey Kenny - indeed, this particular issue is fairly widespread.  We should start seeing recovery any moment as the issue is believed to have been found and resolved.  If you are still unable to save, please refresh your side panel, and try again.

@brianrepp,

I am having issues opening designs.  It seems that any design I attempt to open causes Fusion to crash.  This started about one hour ago.  Is it related?

Hi Josh,

Have you tried clearing your user cache to see if it helps? This will delete the cache files and restart Fusion. Go to Help (?) > Clear user cache data

If that doesn't help try logging out of Fusion, exiting, then restarting the system to see if the network connection A360 needs to be reset. When back up launch Fusion and login.

Finally, if neither of those help, can you send us your diagnostic log files?

@baribak,

Thanks for taking a look.  I sent you a PM.

Attached a the log files.  Every time I try to open certain designs, Fusion crashes and generates 3-4 CERs.

Josh

Hi Josh,

In looking at the log files it seems there may be some files "stuck" in an upload mode. I wonder if this may be the reason why some files aren't available.

To check this out exit Fusion, launch Explorer, and go to: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\{alphanumericfolder}\W.login

Rename the file UploadQueuedFileList.XML. Exit Explorer.

Relaunch Fusion and see if the files are available.

Another option, if the files are accessible from your "hub" via a web browser, try exporting the file from there and re-upload from within Fusion.

@baribak,

Thanks for the tips.

That file path, however, does not exist on my machine as I am running OSX.  I tried searching for the file named "W.login" to no avail.

Do you happen to know what I should be looking for in OSX?

Hi Josh,

Apologies.

Should be:

/Users/{username}/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/{alphanumericfoldername}/w.login

@baribak,

I renamed the "w.login" folder to "UploadQueuedFileList.XML".  I still have the same result.

I may just rebuild the assemblies.

Any other thoughts?

@baribak,

I was finally able to get the designs to open.  Here is what I did:

-Open each component the design references, perform a compute all, and re-save

-Open the assembly (this time without crashing!)

For one of the designs, I went into A360 and promoted an older version.  This seemed to fix the issue with constantly updating.

In the first design (the one I did not have to promote), going through this procedure broke all of the rigid joints.  I am not sure why, but Fusion definitely did not like what was going on.  I deleted all of the joints and re-applied them.  Interestingly, after deleting them and attempting to re-apply them, Fusion kept giving me an error dialogue (this joint will result in a conflict) and saying that there was already a joint between the selected components.  This was not possible, as there were no other joints.  =/

In any event, I was able to fix all the joints and things are fine now.

Thanks for the help.

Glad to hear all is well.

If this happens again let us know. We'd want to ensure there's not something inherently wrong going on.
