Can you go to the ? Help menu and use the Graphics Diagnostic tool. Use the copy to clipboard tool and paste the results into your reply.

Thanks,

Here's what it says:

[GPU Information]
GPU Device: Intel(R) HD Graphics
GPU RAM: 64 MB (Integrated card)

[Graphics Effects Settings]
Anti Aliasing: Off
Ambient Occlusion: On
Object Shadow: Off
Ground Shadow: On
Ground Reflection: Off
Selection Display Style: Normal
Transparency Effect: Better Performance

[Notes]
1. If you have another discrete GPU on your system it is recommended to run Fusion on it to get better performance.

2. If you see any graphics display abnormalities, updating to the latest graphics card drivers could help resolve them; please check with your GPU vendors to download and install the latest graphics card drivers.

3. The effects could slow down the graphics rendering; try to limit them for optimum performance.

Your problem is graphics, specifically your hardware.

Intel HD integrated graphics with 64 MB is the weak spot. We recommend > 512 MB video RAM, and even that should show performance problems on larger models with lots of edges and textures applied. This kind of graphics is usually found on a netbook style computer. In some cases a laptop will try to run Fusion on the onboard chipset instead of a dedicated GPU. Do you have a dedicated GPU? Can you post your system specs?

In the mean time, there are a few things you could try to at least get the model graphics to appear.

1. Turn off all visual effects.

2. If you still have the problem, try switching graphics drivers from DX11 to DX9. This is found under Preferences.

3. If you are attached to an external monitor, disconnect it.

Thanks,

I have had a look and it was on dx9 and limited after I clicked on it and it still didn't work. I think I will have a look at inventor instead. Thanks for your help anyway 🙂

Cool. I love Inventor! Hopefully you don't run into the same problem.

FYI here are the system specs for Inventor 2016.

Hi, I am pretty sure this is an Intel graphics driver issue. Fusion uses HDR lighting and if your Intel graphics card driver is old, it may not support the float RGBA format very well. Several fusion users report the similar problem on this forum and they resolve it after upgrading the graphics card driver. Please go to the Intel website to download the latest driver and try it again. Please note that Windows device manager may tell you your graphics card is already up-to-date, which is always not true.

Please check this post, which should be the same problem and is resolved by upgrading the graphics card driver.

Thanks
