Not running on El Capitan beta 2

After updating my OS installation to OS X 10.11 "El Capitan" beta 2, Fusion 360 will no longer start up. It just shows an "application has encountered an unexpected authentication error and must be quit" message. Is this a known issue?

I did not install beta 1 of El Capitan, so I don't know if this issue is new with beta 2.

Please let me know if any additional information or logging would be helpful.

Kris,

I am willing to do anything to get Fusion 360 running as fast as possible on El Capitan. I have on-going R&D projects that were relying heavily on Fusion 360. I have already missed an opportunity to set a High-Mark for my team this past weekend. The work-arounds haven't worked on my computer, and I really need it to run any way I can. I appreciate your help!

I guess for future OSX release, Fusion team should make an announcement that they'll not support OSX that's in Beta or Public Beta as it's just unfair to you guys having to fix Beta OS problems ASAP cause some people can't wait to get the latest OSX release (referring to closed beta and public beta).

And to those who do use their Macs as work machine, DO NOT install any OS that's in Beta or Public Beta unless it's in VM or something, you can't expect developers (not only Autodesk but anyone else) to ensure their software stability for an OS that's is in Beta.

I think, everybody knows about the risks (and even benefits) of beta software.

And I agree with you: It’s not Autodesks task, to fulfil the gab between 3rd party beta updates and the time until the next OS X will be released. They have to work on potential issues and compatibility questions (as every other dam developer), BUT it’s always a nice turn for Autodesk to provide regular updates over all. Espescially as SaaS provider.

For me, it’s okay to wait and trying to help other users there I can, to help them / me for the best of our OS X experience.

Thanks to Fusion 360, it couldn’t be easier for me to switch between different computers and OS’s. Therefore, I’ll stay on El Capitan and keep waiting for the next updates.

Thanks buddies 🙂
I love Fusion.

Apple released the El Capitan developer beta 7 this morning. I've managed to open up Fusion 360 and log in as normal after the update, so it looks like Apple solved the problem. I'm on a late 2013 MacBook Pro 13".

Thank you for the info! Actually, for what I know Autodesk and Apple where working together on this, kudos for collaboration!

Yes, Fusion 360 now runs on El Capitan. I am still struggling to get my Beta 7 downloaded (it keeps timing out).  I did want to make you all aware of one issue that we are working on.  I have not had a chance to verify that it is still a problem in Beta 7.  Sometimes toolbars and the browser disappear.  To workaround the problem, resize the window.

Thanks,

I haven't noticed that, but what I have found is that sometimes the interface stops responding to mouse clicks until I focus another app (any app) and tab back into Fusion. This could very well be a problem with bit of custom mouse driver software I'm using but I haven't seen this issue with any other programs. Thanks for the advice nonetheless.

I have been seeing everything but the toolbars and browser disappear in Yosemite.

As a dev for Apple paid dev account , fusion 360 works correctly as far as my testing/use with OSX 10.11.beta 7

it did not work with beta 6

sorry I cannot comment further due to my NDA with apple

Thank you.

I can also confirm that it works in the un-paid public beta 5 version of El Capitan, so far no problem at all.
