Noob, few pointers please

I’m starting out using Fusion to create aerodynamic aftermarket parts for cars.

i have 3D scans of the car and importing to Fusion.

next I am deleting as much of the unwanted data as I can using select and delete.

then I am reducing the number of surfaces so I can convert from mesh to brep.

this is all fine...so now I have a brep model I can work with but I’ve got thousands of surfaces and this is where I need help..

I need to smooth the edges and clean the model up and not really sure where to start...

can I have some pointers or tips on ways to select or combine surfaces to complete the model to a workable state.

there are also small holes where the scanner has not picked up data and I need to fill the in so I guess join to surfaces across a gap..

many thanks

Sounds like reverse engineer the surface, without knowing details, you may be able to make new surfaces from the old.

So many ways to do things.

Thanks, yes I have heard the title 'reverse engineering'

Where should I start. Maybe there is a good tutorial I can find on this?

I'll jump on Youtube also..

Thanks

You might find stuff there, but not knowing if Surface Solid or Tspline would suit, hard to send you anywhere.

For reference, you haven't jumped into the deep end of the pool, you have jumped out of an airplane into the middle of the ocean.

This is a very advanced topic. (Ping @TrippyLighting  has a good video to give an idea of just how complex the topic is.)

Can you post examples of some of your previously completed projects leading up to this project.

Previous examples will give an indication on just how far from reaching shore you are at the moment.
