I am having an issue with applying and releasing a force to create non-monotonic loading in event simulation. I would expect the reaction force results to mirror the force curve shape but they do not.
Autodesk would suggest this is easily achieved in their page here: https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=EVENTSIM-DYN-MULTIPLIER-CURVE-CONCEPT
Figure 4 shows what I need to do. I have also tried that loading scheme but to similar illogical results.
Has anyone had success with non-monotonic loading in order to quantify permanent deformation?
Setup: 0.01 seconds of event duration, 25 steps
Force application: apply load ramped, hold load, release load ramped, hold no load
Results for reaction force: shape of reaction force curve does not match force application curve
