No target body found to cut

I have been trying to project features and axes onto a sketch and then use those to make holes in a part. There are still some strange things in that operation, but just now I cannot cut into the part. I find that if I export the part and open it, it cuts just fine.  I suspect I'm operating on the wrong sketch, but I can't find one that works.

Any suggestions? Also, I note that when I export this assembly, sometimes  there are no Fusion file options. Is that normal?

Considering that you have 7 warnings glaring at you from the timeline, I would recommend to reassess you modeling approach and perhaps start from scratch with a clean slate!

Thanks! That makes sense; I used edit in place so that the part will be updated.

This would be a nice place to put meaningful error messages. It would be nice if the user could fill in the "more info" window with tips like this. As long as Autodesk isn't using the window.

Yes, it's a mess. I suspect many of the warnings are because I deleted many parts from the original assembly.
