No JSON object could be decoded

Window 7 - SP1

My company recently switched from Inventor 2012 to Inventor 2014.  I have already removed Fusion for Inventor 2012 from my computer but I'm still having problems installing Fusion 360.

It starts to load and then I get an error message.

I have attempted to follow the instructions on different threads with simialr problems but nothing works.

Any idea how to fix this?

Hi,

Sorry for the troubles. Could you attach log file that is referenced in the error message? Hopefully, it will contain an error code that will indicate the root cause of the issue.

Are you behind a proxy server at your company?

Just as a check, some of the generic things to test (temporarily) for the install:

-lower the User Account Control to Never Notify

-disable Anti-virus

-disable any firewall

Also, I wanted to mention that it is possible to have both Inventor Fusion 2012 and Fusion 360 installed simultaneously. It is also possible to have both versions of Inventor installed.

Hope this helps. Hope we can track something down soon from the log file.

Best Regards,

Any luck with any of the above suggestions? Do you know if you are behind a proxy server or anything that would interfere with download/streaming installer?

Thanks,

I had to contact someone in our IT department and he changes some of the settings long enough for me to download it.

I think I got it now
