New User - Creating a Curved Plane

I have been having a lot of fun converting paper drawings into Fusion 360 this month but I am afraid I am still very much a beginner. I am tying to carve a curved plane on to the edge of a part. I made a test drawing attached here.

There are two curved lines, one on the front flat face, the second projected onto the curved top of the part. When I make this part I mark those two lines and then cut to them with a rasp. The resulting cut meets both lines and is scraped with a straight scraper. How can I do this in Fusion 360? I notice I can't select the projected surface separate from the whole Top surface so I might have skipped a step. Even so, I have no idea what virtual tool I would us to remove the material between the lines.

A Loft in the Patch area,  then Split Body.

I am not at my fusion machine for a few days, 

I will presume the two curves are touching at both ends, Hide the main body, temporarily.

Patch, Create > Loft, uncheck, Chain selection, select one curve, click the + button, then select the second curve,  in the profile section of the dialogue box, then Ok.

you will be provided with the finished surface body,

then in the Modify > Split Body, select the main body, select the new surface as the cutter, Ok, you will have two parts of the main body, 

Then hide the one you are removing, check etc.  You can decide to keep it hidden, Remove it, Delete it, but Remove is recommended over Deleting.

I am not able to open your original attachment and the file size looks questionable (too small).

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Oops, never mind - I tried a different browser and got the file.

Thank you! I had seen the patch tool in a video late last night but it didn't cross my mind that it would work that way. I was able to skip the Loft part and just patch the two lines together and split.

Yes! That is exactly what I needed. The file was so small because I only included enough detail to demonstrate the problem and not the entire part.
