New to fusion 360…help with dimensions of uploaded drawing

Need help. We took a pic of a template we drew on poster board. We uploaded image to canvas and are currently stuck on scaling the image. How can we properly scale the image, it also includes an ellipse at the bottom. We are struggling getting the same dimensions as our template. Any advice would be helpful! Is there any technical support that we could utilize that could take control of our computer and see what we see?

Here you go

Top Line is 8.5 inches Wide

Length of both sides is 15 inches

The Width of the arc from point to point is 20.5 inches

From Top Center of arc to top of (8.5 inch) line is 11.25 inches

Put the dimensions into the sketch with the correct dimensions and the sketch you drew on the canvas in this way.

The name of that dimension is used to calculate the scale.

Now all that is left is to move the Canvas and you are done.

Since distortion cannot be corrected to a certain degree, the limit is to match to a certain degree.

We have made a video of the event, so please enjoy.

Wow, very thankful for your help. I’m a fifteen year old kid trying to teach myself and I’ve already learned a lot. Thanks so much.

.Blue and orange sketch articles should keep you awake.

Fully constrain the sketch until all is black (in your case)

Constrain to Origin, and an angle dimension on a top corner should do it.

Might help....

Thanks @davebYYPCU  for the advice.

In this case, what is missing from the full definition is the vertical positioning of the sketch.

If we put the dimension from the origin to the top edge as 6.0in as a hypothetical, it will be fixed.

Actually, I did not dare to fix this dimension.

Because if I changed the scale of the canvas, it would not match the position of the sketch, and I was thinking of the possibility of adjusting the position by adding the dimension later.

However, as I did it, I realized that I could freely move the vertical position of the canvas as well, so it turned blue as it was. My apologies.

As @davebYYPCU says, it is less trouble if all the sketch lines are black, so I strongly recommend you to fully define them and make them bla
