new to Fusion 360 from NX

Hi,

I am currently investigating using Fusion 360 for my business. I have previously used NX for a number of years with a previous business so please excuse my fusion knowledge.

1. is there a section tool within modelling? if I want to see interactions of parts quickly.

2. is there a selection tool - select edges or faces rather than regional boundary edges? i.e when extruding I cannot seem to extrude from an edge only a sketch or an entire face.

3. is there an hide, unhide and show all short cut? I've found 'v' to hide but no unhide command. I've found isolate which is useful but no in isolate button.

also I would like to be able to make these commands assigned to buttons on my 3d connexion space mouse so keyboard shortcuts would be great then I can program them to macros.

Many thanks

Adam

Hi @Adam2A8RP,

Thanks for your post and sharing your experience.

In fusion we have all this workflow related to section analysis(Which is under "Inspect Tab"), Selection tool at the end of ribbon, and from browser we can do

Hide-Unhide by using RMB on specific Model or we can use visibility control (bulb type icon we use).

For more details please check attached screen cast below.

Thanks,

Sagar
