Wouldn't it be great if you didn't have interrupt your workflow to select a graphic with your mouse pointer? Wouldn't it be great if Fusion featured user-defined hot keys- something wanted by... well, everyuserever.
I'm asking for your support for the following implementation- a method that wouldn't be in conflict with any existing hot keys:
Empower hot key binding to Sketch Toobox contents. Say you've placed Extend in your Toolbox, and bind that command to the "e" key. The next time you want to extend a line, simply type "s" for Toolbox, then "e" for extend. These hotkeys would only function while the Toolbox is open- so there would be no conflict with imposed hotkeys- more importantly, the mouse hand is left to do what' it's best at- selecting features, instead of commands. Commands are left to the keyboard hand.
The natural way of things presently is to move your pointer toward the element you want to manipulate- then be forced to move the pointer elsewhere to access a command... then move it back to use the command. Let's acknowledge the way we work- and adapt the tool to our work flow, rather than waste energy and time adapting to the tool.
