Need help with boss to sloping edge

Hi,

I am having trouble figuring out how to get a boss in the lid of attached image to match onto sloped surface.

I want to have a counter bore hole so a bolt can be insert at top of box(with head recessed around 2.5mm) and hread to come out through bottom to attach to the enclosure base.

I used the base of lid as reference but when I extrude to far, the boss come out through top and if not far enough I get a gap like below. I am not sure if there is a command to get it to meld with the slope or I should somehow start the hole on the slope from top and use standard counter bore hole?

No timeline in the pic to see how you got that far,

Extrude to Object will do it....

Hole from top face,

Thanks Dave,

How did you get the extrusion to join with the slope? If I extrude to point where entire bose meets the slope part of the extrusion starts popping our the top. As a stop-gap measure I extruded so it stuck out quite a bit out top and then trimmmed by deleting faces but I'm sure there is a contril that you can set to "extrude to slope" or something?

Sorry I thought I added the example file.

Extrude the circle, tell it to finish on object, and select the inside face.

same as the picture.

Might help....
