Need help creating an offset for cookie cutters!

hello! I am trying to create a cookie cutter using an image to 3D print. I inserted the photo, and traced is using fit point spline. My next step is to create an offset, but I am not able to do so. I have tried so many things! It will not let me select a curve. See the screenshot and I would really appreciate your help! Thank you!!

Wow, 1st time for everything I suppose.  You will likely have to start again.

Offset command will work in the 2d flat sketch.

Use the Look at Sketch control for sketches, looks to me you drew this in oblique mode, 2nd pic the canvass is shown as the red line.

Might help....

This would not offset, even if it was a proper 2D sketch!

So, insert the image as a canvas,

calibrate it to match the size you need for the cookie-cutter,

then start a  2D sketch on the same plane you inserted the canvas on.

The perimeter of the leaf should not be one contiguous spline. Each little curved section of the leaf should be its own spline connected to the adjacent ones with its endpoints. Yu likely only need 2 spline points for each of these small splines.
