Need advise on how to clean up an object

Hello,

So here at our arena we have cup holder brackets that are right-handed. We purchased at 3D Scanner and scanned the object so we can mirror image it and make it left-handed. I'm new to Fusion 360 and was looking for advice on how to clean the object up to get rid of noise that it also mapped out on it so we can then 3D print it. Attached a photo for reference. (Object is .obj)

Thank you in advance for help

If you want to do it with fusion you will probably be best off modeling it natively in fusion and using the mesh only as a visual reference.  fusion isn't particularly good when it comes to editing mesh files.

Fusion is not a great mesh editing tool.  You can certainly do at least some of this with the Fusion mesh environment.  But, from what little I can see from the image, this part looks pretty simple.  I would be tempted to re-design it using Fusion native solid tools, and Create Mesh Section and Fit Curves to Mesh Section.  If you share the OBJ here, some of us can show you how to get started with those tools.

Here is some product documentation on these tools:

What is your experience level with 3D modeling in general and perhaps specifically other CAD software?

I am looking at the .obj right now and this is not a simple part to accurately reverse engineer.

The scan pretty rough in some areas and definitely isn't good enough to 3D print.
