Need advice: great laptop for Fusion with a great display?

I apologize if this isn't the best forum to post this thread but I really wanted to hear from Fusion users. I'm currently looking for a new laptop to use with fusion 360, probably a max. of $1200-1300 to spend on one. Now, I haven't started using fusion 360 as of yet. First i wanna make sure the laptop I buy has no serious compatibility issues, then get a trial of Fusion 360 and qualify for hobbyist. However, I also need a high-quality display (aka not dull) because I airbrush studio scale models and will need a fairly accurate display for reference pictures to determine correct paint hues/etc. The bad thing is, from what I understand 4K/UHD displays are not supported in fusion 360. Kinda of a dilemma. Does anyone here know of a laptop with 4K/UHD display that does work welI with Fusion 360 regardless of that? Or at least a standard HD 1080p that is well above average?
Other requirements-I def want to get one that has an i7 processor, at least 16 gigs of ram, and an SSD drive as well. The last thing I really need is a thunderbolt 3 input for use with recording software for music, also I have a Lacie SSD that requires thunderbolt. I was using an iMac i7 27" 2011 model, it was great but it's logic board died ($$$$) recently so I gotta get something else. Don't know if I wanna go with a Mac anymore. From what little I've read there are issues with their Retina displays as well. Any advice would be really appreciated, thx so much.

The price tag isn't impossible- but unrealistic until November; having missed the back-to-school sales window, you'll need to exploit Black Friday opportunities to get what you want at that price point.   The good news: you've got a few months for research!

I feel cramped using a 17" laptop and strongly advise not going smaller.     You should double your budget- I wish I had; as is, the video card of my Acer v17 Nitro Black isn't ideal; Fusion frequently chokes, crashes.
