Need a Rack and pinion for a project

     Hi, I tried to follow the Fusion 360 tutorial on youtube on how to make a rack and pinion but it doesn't look like the teeth gears mesh right and I need to have a clean tight mesh. Hoping to get some help with this. Thank you.

Yes, the teeth do not look like they mesh together,,,,,

The tutorial I linked shows the correct form for both the rack and the pinion.  Teeth on the pinion and rack mesh at the pitch diameter with backlash compensation.  Can you provide more information about why you think they are not correct?

Your file shows that you have not followed all of the steps in the tutorial.

Thank you, I didn't realize he factored in a large backlash compensation
that is why his final product has so much spacing between the two gears. I
thought it was an error in his formula. I will try this out but reduce the
backlash to a much smaller tolerance. My file I provided was only the
barebone dimensions for my components. Thanks again, Cheers!
