Hey guys! I'm new to Fusion 360 although I have used some 3d programs before and I'm getting stuck. To be quite honest, I have no idea if this is the 'best' way of doing this sort of thing. I have attached what I'm trying to make; It's basically an earpiece sorta thing that I'm planning to 3D print for my gf to use in a cosplay. My gf drew out the shape and I have been using it as a basis. I'm happy with how the sword looking things came out as well as the bat wings but I'm struggling on the little swirly part. Middle part should be pretty easy once I get the swirly part finished.
I've tried many different things such as sweeping a half circle over a path or the spiral tool but it never quite looks right. Also I would really like for it to fit into the shape my gf drew and not just something that looks similar to it.
I have been working on it using the 'Form' mode which I think are T-Splines and I have gotten it pretty close to what I'm thinking the end result should look like but it's all bumpy! I did have a ton more faces at one point because I was trying to match the outside edge but that made the bumpiness even worse, it's like a bundt cake when I want it smooth. I think it may have to do with the triangles on the curve but I'm lost on what to do.
I'm all ears for any ideas you guys have. Fixing the bumpiness would be amazing but if I'm dumb and should do it another way then please tell me. I told her it "shouldn't be too hard to model" and now I'm eating my words hahaha.
