moving components

I have a model that I want to animate (using pivots) . I have one or more parts that that are also components but I don't want them to move, but they are grouped so when I click Transform Components everything moves. I tried dragging and dropping but it wouldn't let me.

Hi @jwrockstarr0,

You need at least one component (a static component) to be grounded!

Please let us know if you need more help.

Cheers / Ben

Thanks, but that didn't seem to work so I rolled the timeline back and rebuilt the model with animation in mind and it worked.

It is rather hard to say what did not work before without so much as a screenshot. Even better share your design and create a screencast.

I agree but it will have to wait for next time, because I backed up and did it right. I was trying to convert too many bodies to components and the file became a mess. I was in a hurry and didn't think about where I was going.

This is the animation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0g76tzy3vnadxke/solatido-4.avi?dl=0

"Did it right" and "convert bodies into components" might be mutually exclusive.
