Move objects to a component?

Hello,

I am quite new to F360 and I have created a model which has multiple components, however the initial sketches, bodies etc that I created are at the top level but I need to move them to a separate component, is this possible? I have tried grabbing all of the timeline objects and dragging them to a new component but this does not seem to work.

I rare cases it is possible but if a design is further along then in many cases that is not possible anymore.

Refer to Fusion 360's R.U.L.E #1 for an effective workflow with components.

Many thanks. Yes I think I'm too far along to move everything reliably so I'll live with it on this model. I will try and remember on future models!
