Move/Copy Move Type Translate only allows 1 Move Object selection.

Is there a reason why Move/Copy Move Type Translate only allows 1 Move Object to be selected whereas the other Move Types allow multiple selections?

Translate has a Direction control, which by default is set to Component XYZ, so this logically means selection of a single component (also can be multiple bodies within a component as you can see from this screencast). This helps moving in local coordinate system of a component (which now might have changed due to joints and motions).

If you want to Translate several bodies/components you can set Direction to Design XYZ or Pick Direction.
