Move/Copy command does not work on canvas

3 reference canvasses being used, I am trying to use Move/Copy to move around these canvasses to my liking.

Right clicking one of the canvasses under the browser menu yields every option except the Move/Copy. Moreover, I can set a canvas to selectable and right-click which allows me to select move/copy, the shortcut M also works to pull up the Move/Copy menu, as well as the Move/Copy button under solid-modify.

However, though all these workarounds to the Move/Copy missing upon right clicking in the browser menu on the canvass, none of them actually work on the canvas. It deselects the canvas and does not allow me to reselect it and actually use move/copy on it.

I am using Autodesk Fusion 360 (Personal - Not for Commercial Use), relaunching does not mitigate this.

This is using M to get the menu up for Move/Copy, yet I still cannot actually use it on the canvas.

You will not be able to Copy the Canvas but moving it, after it has been originally placed, is easy, just right click on it and choose Edit Canvas.

Edit Canvas works fine for 2/3 of my canvasses, but for one of them I need them to be moved along the z-axis. As you show, the X and Y axis are allowed under the edit canvas option but not the Z-axis, only rotation along it? This is why I am trying to use the Move/Copy command.

Additionally, I see that you also are missing the Move/Copy command when right-clicking. Was this removed entirely when right-clicking canvasses?

You did not mention the Z axis movement requirement in your original post.  If you need to move the Canvas in the Z axis, then you must place the Canvas on a Construction Work Plane and then change the location of that for the Z movement.  The Move/Copy command has never been in the right click menu of a Canvas.

That's interesting, my friend also happens to be using the same version of fusion 360 yet he has the move/copy option under his canvas.

Regardless, the problem is that the move/copy command simply does not work on my canvas, further not satisfying the z-axis movement requirement. I'm aware of the workaround with using an offset plane, but I know it is possible to use the move/copy command. I'm looking to see if anybody might know a solution to regaining functionality of the move/copy command in this situation.

@jhackney1972 Is correct never been an option.

Your friend has his Canvass in a movable Component, and is moving it. (Yuk)

Root level of the file is permanently fixed so you have to select a vertical plane, no need for move canvas, as Edit canvas works on selected Canvass, as stated.

Might help...
