I hav e imported a dxf file in Fusion 360 from draft sight and used the same to design a mold for rubber component. The iron plate is to be machine on a VMC. The operator say the design has multiple spline / curve problems. Can some one check and guide how to solve these problems. We had mailed him a *.step file.

Did you attempt to Create New Design from File using this STEP file in Fusion?

The geometry is a longgggggggggg way from the origin.

The first thing I would do is move it to the Origin Center Point and then Export the STEP file again.

Now attempt to open the STEP in Fusion.

Hmmm, well I tried that and still no luck.  Let me dig a bit deeper....

I saved dxf of a logo from corel. Opened the same in draft sight to create 2d file which was again saved as dxf. This dxf was opened in fusion 360 to create attached files.

Initially I had created the rubber part to be made. But the VMC operator wanted cavity file which was crated using above method .

I'm not where I can look at this now (so this may not be relevant), but I have seen frequent problems with splines imported as DXF into Fusion. Is it possible to redraw that part of the design as a Fusion sketch, using the DXF as a template?
