Modified Scissor Extender Mechanism Help

Hey there

I am new to Fusion 360 and need to create a 3d model of a scissor extender mechanism, with the center bolt modified to sit at 60% up, not at the usual halfway point.

Im not sure how to start besides making a 2d sketch and extruding it, but that doesn't help me show the mechanism. Anybody got any tips for me how to make this thing work?

Dimensions are as follows:

Beam is 452 mm x 41 mm x 12.5 mm with three holes, two at 8mm off either edge and one at 271 mm in

Thanks in advance

I've read 6 posts this morning. In all 6 of them I had to ask the user to please share the model.

Either export to .f3d and attach, or share the public link to it from the data panel.

Text only is mostly useless.

After attempting to attach a model or share a link, re-read your post and make sure it works 😉

That sounds like an excellent place to start.

Do you have any images of the real world design (or something similar)?

Thanks for the quick responses. I don't have a current file (because im not sure how exactly to make it) but I do have a picture of the final design (see attached).

Hope it helps!

Looks like a simple project.

I see two different lengths.

Make an instance of each and then copy and assemble.

Edit: After looking at your second image, maybe there is only one length.
