Modelling a car

Hi

Modeling a car I faced a problem. I need to create a smooth continuation of the top channel according to the blue trajectory. But vertices placed the way that I can't do it smooth way. My unsatisfying result you can see at the second picture.  So, maybe anybody helps me to find the soluion?

Hi,

You see you need to know that somethings in T-Spline need to be considered, and in my opinion the 1st thing to put in mind is to always use the minimum number of faces required to get your shape, and according to your pictures you are using a lot of faces and that can cause you losing control of your shape most of the time resulting such problems as yours, and disrupting the smoothness of your shape

if you can share a f3d. file I can make you a screencast of what to do

Also try to prevent having NGONs for the car body. work only with quad faces!

here look at this

I simplified and reduced the mesh so you have less work with moving points

you have to in general strike a balance between

least amount of CVs as possible to make work less complex

maximum as needed for modeling the details

Also another tip is not to build everything as one mesh

while TS is smooth getting smooth transition heavily requires good topology.

In you case I would maybe not model the seat and side openings in T-Splines but keep those openings closes

and via Patch or SOLID trim boolean those spaces away and then fillet the sharp edges

I find this because we have the timeline to be a better approach often
