Modeling Joystick Warthog for 3d print

Hello every one.

First, sorry for my bad english....

I'm starting to use fusion 360 (I did some tutorial modeling knife, mk2 grenade...).

Now I would like modeling a warthog joystick (only the stick, not the base). But i don't know how to proceed and wich tool I must use (model, sculpt....)

Can you advise me on what to do? How to proceed?

I bought  turbosquid file but it's mesh file (*.obj, *.3ds) and i can't edit....

http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-3ds-joystick-stick/1006788

Thank you in advance

Thank you in advance

You can insert a .obj under the Insert icon.

Pic not clear at all for some reason but you can still see the location.

@jeanchris

How many polygons does the mesh have? I know a pretty straight forward way to do what you want but since I don't have the model I will have to figure  out what to use to show you.

@jeanchris

Ok when you import the mesh into fusion can you convert it into a B-rep on your system, and if so what is performance like when you do?
