I am teaching my kids about stick built airplanes and I want to take a wing I have made from foam and glass and scale it down and make it balsa and Ultracoat. I have been able to easily make washout and dihedral as well as make the intermediate ribs. How would I take the ribs and put them on a single plane so I can cut them out? Also, I was trying to make the spar carbon (black), the ribs wood and the covering transparent but the appearances won't stick. I have not had a problem before, was Fusion upgraded?

There is an AddIn for nesting the ribs on a sheet, called Nester from the  GitHub, or Autodesk apps.

You make the ribs into components instead of new bodies, and they will be moved at the end of the timeline if you don't make a copy or master files, etc.

The appearances appear to be what you asked for, I was able to test and apply gloss black paint and it took on the spars.

The ribs ae pine and the surface is a solid body you could try glass.

You only need one of each rib component, cut the file twice to save time and effort.

Presume you will cut for LE and TE, before the layout?

Might help...

@davebYYPCU Thank you, I had seen Nester but I could not remember the name. Yes, ribs need work. I have a .125 carbon tube for the spar. I am hoping for a 14g plane. I lose 5g to radio. I need to add a place to stick he leading edge film and the trailing edge will also be balsa but I have not designed or included the ailerons. On my screen the wing reverts to yellow atfer each change.
