In Fusion, mirror components are IMHO not handled well. I expected the mirroring to create a linked (associated) component. There are some techniques to handle this, all seem awkward and problematical.

I tried the going back in time technique, but it doesn't seem to work in this design.

If the "Finial" (curvaceous component within "Leg asmbly") is moved down without going back in history, the mirrored component changes not. So go back to before the mirror command on the history timeline and move the "Finial" down. Move forward in time and the mirrored component is created correctly but the final move after the mirror changes the "Finial"'s position.

Bug? Ignorant human?

thanks!

1. Don't use the align or move commands followed by a position capture to position components. Use joints!

2. To have the mirrored component reflect the changes, you need to move the timeline marker back to before the mirror feature in the timeline and then apply the changes to the original. Then you can move the timeline marker past the mirror feature back to the end and the changes will be reflected in the mirrored component.
