There's a post on the Idea station about mirrored offsets not being parametric here.
I made a test file and found an odd bug, I mirrored an offset circle and square when I change the offset for the circle the copy dosn't update but when I edit the square the circle and square both update. I've done a screencast to demonstrate, the file's attached, you need to edit the circle offset first then the square to see the bug.
