Midpoint constraints on X and Y to origin?

Hello! Im totally new to Fusion 360 and am really enjoying the learning experience - but how do I do midpoint constraints on both the X and Y axis of a simple rectangle to the origin?

(I'm just trying to centre the rectangle over the origin.)

I can constrain one axis fine (so one side of the rectangle is centred) but when I try to constrain the second to centre the rectangle, it 'fails'.

Many thanks in advance! Cheers, Dave.

  • Solution 1
    • Create a diagonal construction line
    • Create a midpoint constrain between your construction line and your origin
  • Solution 2
    • Create your rectangle by using Sketch -> Rectangle -> Center Rectangle
    • EDIT: Create a coincident constrain between the center point of the rectangle and the origin

Both ways are shown in this little screencast:

That's brilliant, and has answered my question exactly! Many thanks for your help! 👍🏻😀

Cheers,
