Mesh T Spline and surface bodies warning when creating drawing

When creating a drawing from a project I have been working on for a number of weeks, I now get the above warning.

All components and bodies I have created have been simple 2d sketch then push pull. All other components like hardware that have been imported were STP. I would first open the STP file, convert bodies to components and save. Then import the Fusion 360 component into my main project. I did not import STP files direct into my main project. Is this warning a new "feature" or has fusion found something in my project. Creeps me out that something won't get rendered in the drawing. Is there a way of finding the offending component, body? I have over 100 components in this project not sure how to find the offender. Thanks in advance.

Hello Brad-

Without seeing the whole assembly or the structure browser expanded, it is hard to say.

With that said, the warning message is telling you of T-Spline bodies (which you probably didn't create unless you were creating organic forms), and of "surface bodies".  Surface bodies are actually easy to create without you realizing it...

If you imported a model from another cad system or from Grabcad, etc, some of those models can be "corrupt in the fact that they aren't true solid bodies, or what we call "water-tight models".  If one of the faces on the body is missing, water could escape from that body.

We show the icon next to the body as an open orange cylinder, instead of a closed white cylinder.  You could expand your Structure Browser and look for one of those icons.

The warning message is just telling you that it will not create a drawing of that body because it's not a "true" body.

Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem.  How did you end up closing/fixing the body?

Thank you in advance for your help!
