Merging line segments (newbie)

Sorry if it looks too stupid, but I'm stuck playing with a simplest sample. As result of extruding I'm getting redundant line segments. First, it is unclear why. There are several similar extruding operations and only one of them leads to unexpected segmentation. Second, how to fix what segments easily?
Thanks.

Hi @user48571,

I think your problem is solved within this example.

I made a Sweep at once for the outside ribs.

Thanks, but my question is rather about fixing the resulting model and the reason of unexpected segments appearance. You are just creating another model using other way of extruding.
But thanks anyway (I understand that my way of extruding is far from optimal and it's useful to see how to do it right).

Hi @user48571,

Your sketches are also not fully constraint, so that could also be the problem that a line is not horizontal constraint.
So deep I didn't check your model 😉
