When I take a measurement from a plane to a secondary feature  like a circle it doesn't  give a perpendicular distance from the plan. Anyone else having this issue? I'm clicking the plane first so I know it's not the problem.

Could you post a picture? It's tough to determine if you're talking a bout a sketch issue, a drawing issue, or a modeling issue without a little more insight.

The problem occurs on models sometimes. I cant take the time right now to try to reproduce the issue to get a snapshot. Anytime you measure from a plane to a secondary feature the distance should be perpendicular to the plane when selected first.

A distance measurement cannot be snapped between a Plane and a model Face that isn't parallel to that Plane. If the model Face isn't parallel to the Plane, then you'll have to measure to a corner or other Point of the model.

I agree with that. However, the measurement is to a sketch feature, like a circle, line or point. The measurement should still be perpendicular to the plane when the plane is clicked first. It works the majority of the time but gets wonky sometimes.
