McMaster Carr Component Separation

I wonder if someone would help me.  I have imported in a linear slide bearing from the McMaster Carr site but it is coming with a short section of linear rail as part of the assy.

I have brought the part as a step into a component folder in my design.

Then I saw that there were 3 parts in the 3d Step file.  The rail, the slide bearing and a zirc fitting. Each treated as bodies in the component folder.  When I try to delete the linear rail the whole set gets deleted.

How do I get rid of the rail without losing the bearing and zirc fitting?

Thanks for the help!  Incredible program...  🙂

Hi @pastor.healer

Instead of delete try remove.

Worked perfectly!  Thanks John

Would you mind telling me what the difference is from a CAD perspective?  How is delete different from remove?

Thanks for your time

Glad I could help.

Here is a good topic on the difference between delete and remove.
