Mass merging faces

So, I have a mesh which I've converted to a brep. However, the mesh has been triangulated, and many triangles are co planar. Unfortunately, there are many, many planes on which multiple triangles coexist. I was wondering if there's any way to automatically merge all co planar triangles, so that I don't have to go through the tedious process of merging each and every one manually. I've also attached my file, so you all can see what I'm talking about and experiment for solutions. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,

This model of yours is so dense with faces, and the merge command in the patch environment is the only way you can do it unfortunately ...

Sometimes stitching the model may help, but your model fails to stitch too, so my guess is that this model is beyond helping by using anything other than Merge

I too have posted something similar and have been looking for a method to do this, but unfortunately all I have come up with is manually merging the faces also.

I will be watching this thread in case something pops up.

Justin
