Make diameter dimension tool "persistent"?

Is there a way of making the dimension tool stay in diameter mode, at least until deselected/reselected? (Diameter mode is chosen by right-clicking after selecting the two lines). When I'm dimensioning the sketch for a revolved part, I'll often want to add lots of diameter dimensions taken from the same revolve axis, and it gets a little slow having to right-click and choose "diameter" each time.

Solidworks, for example, has a feature where it knows if one of the selected lines is a centerline/construction line, and automatically changes the dimension to either radius or diameter, depending on where it's placed (this video shows an example of the behaviour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDzjLbV1VhU)

Post this up in IdeaStation and I'll give you a kudos! 😄

And let us know at what time do they start demonstrating the diameter/radius thing in the video

Take a look around 1.12 he adds a centre line then just moving the cursor below the centre line gives a diameter dimension.

Here is similar example in Autodesk Inventor.  (:40-:45)

(Of course if only one dimension one might argue if changing to centerline is any faster, but if there are more than one diametral dimensions...)

Hi @O.Tan@TheCADWhisperer@HughesTooling

Thanks for the replies! I've created a new idea request, here it is:
