Make assembly from Solidworks/ STEP import?

Hi, i have issues when import a full Solidworks assembly or STEP into Fusion. Geometry imports perfectly, next step i create components from bodies, but after adding joints nothing moves. As-built joint button is not visible either. Any suggestions? Sorry but didn't find the subject in the forum.

Thank you!

Alan.

PD: sorry for my english, not native.

Hi Alan,

This should work.  Can you post the STEP file, so we can investigate it?  Thanks,

Thanks!

So, a couple of things here:

1. the STEP file already contains components, so  you don't need "create components from bodies":

Then, adding joints:  First, the reason why As Built Joint is not available is because this design is a Direct Modeling design.  To get As Built Joint, you need to convert to a history-based design:

You don't need to use as-built, but in this case it's easier, I agree.  So, convert to history, then use as-built joints.
